Astro is a Unitree Go2 Edu robotic dog that joined the ROCKIN Lab in May 2024. Astro runs a variant of ROS and with the Edu model that we have, we have full access to the Unitree SDK, thereby enabling substantial research & development on the Astro platform.
Ongoing efforts are adding autonomous operation, wireless communications, swarming with our Turtlebots, and adding hauling capabilities to Astro.
